Phoenix Oolong Honey Orchid (Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong)

Size Guide
Size

Sourced from Mount Phoenix, the birthplace of "gongfucha" and home to over 70 varieties of dan cong, this tea is a true taste of Southern China.

Our Honey Orchid tea is made from spring-harvested maocha grown at an altitude of 600 meters. The leaves undergo a slightly heavier oxidation and a second firing with charcoal, overseen by a tea science researcher with 25 years of experience. The result is a light copper-colored liquor with a shine and a high note of orchid on the nose.

Enjoy the interesting and quickly fading astringency, leaving a ripe pear taste on your cheeks and at the back of your throat. For a unique tasting experience, we recommend comparing this tea to our Scarlet Robe, its very distant cousin from Wuyi Mountain.

To brew, use a small pot or gaiwan with 100°C water and steep for 30 seconds. You can enjoy four or more infusions of this delicious tea.
