A low caffeine toasty green tea, a great evening beverage.

Unlike other Japanese green tea that are steamed, houjicha is roasted in a porcelain pot over charcoal at a high temperature. This unique tea making process gives out a caramelised nutty aroma.

Please noted that our houjicha is grown in Australia by the the renown Japanese company Ito En. This is a radiation free houjicha.

Taste Note:

Clear amber brown liquid. Toasty, caramelised, finish dry.


Brewing Recommendation:

90 °C water. 1 to 2 minutes steeping.
